Animated Object Space Emulator (AOSE) Module

I love it when they come up with fancy names for things - imagine the marketing meeting:

Intern: How about Animated Object Space Emulator (AOSE) Module?

Marketing Head: Hmmm, not bad, but it needs SOMETHING...

Intern: What do you think?

Marketing Head: Dunno, it's gotta represent the way we emulate space using animated objects... I'VE GOT IT! Animated Object Space Emulator (AOSE) Module!!!

Intern: Er...

Marketing Head: This'll sell billions!!!!

:hihi:

----Introductory priced at just $215 U.S.

As more and more people move towards DAW, the prices of plug-Ins are going to escalate as if we were buying external hardware processors.

I'm grabbing as many Plug-Ins as I can now. For, once this trend catches on, we'll see Plug-Ins costing $200.00 the norm.

I think it's fine for someone to ask a price that they feel is fair for the work they've put into it. If nobody pays the asking price then sometimes they'll drop the cost. Either way, if you don't think it's worth it then simply don't buy it... he/she might have put alot work into it

----I wouldn't say there is necessarily any price "limit" on what a synth or effect plug-in is worth, however, the market disagrees. Time will tell though, and I wish anyone selling their work the best of luck, just be ready to answer questions if you're asking what the big boys ask, cause there will be questions.

Well, that makes it a LOT more attractive!! :hihi:
No there's nothing wrong with someone trying to get
too much money for their hard work. Does that mean
that if they like it enough people will pay $200
for my next CD? :P Unlike CD's there are plugins
that are worth $200. IMHO however this aint one of
'em!! :D If this dev spent some time doing a little
market research I don't think he'd have priced his
FIRST commercial plugin right out of the market.

If we don't discourage developers from overcharging by voting
with our wallets and stating our opinions perhaps all plugins will be priced $200+ one day.

Even if that sad day arrives it won't change the fact that some will remain much better values than others.

I don't wish to discourage developers from developing and I
certainly respect the time and effort they put in...BUT...
....I'm not going to tiptoe around in the name of political
correctness so as not to bruise fragile egos. If, in my opinion, a plugin is priced higher than I feel its worth
I'm going to say so. That's my opinion....you don't have to
buy it!! :D

I don't meant to piss on a new developer, but they'd better rethink this quick. To think you can go from unimpressive, free SE effects to a $300...whatever-the-hell-this-is, is pretty absurd.
