I am using the east west silver edition vsti into the ableton live 5 but the sound I get when i record is totally diferent from what I play. I mean I play a certain melody , record it and when I heard the recorded melody it sounds faster or slower than what I really played, or even slow and fast randomly. What can I do to avoid this?
PS: I am using just 2 midi lines so its not that the cpu is overloaded.

Like drez says.
It is turned on by default:
Edit > Record Quantization > No quantization.

at least try it with record quantization off - it may be what's throwing the feel of your piece off, lives record quantization is fairly 'hard'.
