Just spent some hours with a friend who had Cubase SX and a Korg Triton LE.
What a bitch to get the buggers talking to each other with patch information etc...
Now I remember why I stick with software for sound generation. Much less headache.

that was a pain. if i want to use a hardware synth these days (which is rare) i just record it straight up audio rather than even trying to run midi and record through the line. gotta agree...the software is much less of a pain. it makes it easier to focus on what's important.....which would be the music for me
