Hi all !
If DS-404 won´t be updated for use w/ Cubase SX-3, is there any chance to convert DS-404 prgs ´n samples into any format of SX-3 compatible sampling- or sampleplayer- software,- maybe Kontakt, Kompakt, Battery 2 or Halion 3 ?
Is there any software around for this type of conversion ?
best regards

Thanx, - but I fear this won´t work the way I need .
DS-404 itself works bidirectional w/ Extreme Sample Converter . Import from DS-404 and export to DS-404, but -
you can do import only from Kontakt and Halion into Extreme Sample Converter . No export of converted samples/programms by ESC to Kontakt or Halion !!! And it´s too much time consuming to convert the samples to WAV and then set up every program from scratch !

and if you want the best soft sampler out there then check out shortcircuit; it has superior sound quality, rex and beat slicing, and more amazing filters, fx, and even different types of oscilators than anything going, with a per sample modulation matrix, as well as per group, and a list of modulation sources that will make you freak out, including unipolar and bipolar random, all sorts of time based mod sources, two step sequencer / lfo per sample and program, two envelopes per "",etc etc.
plus it's way less expensive than the (inferior IMHO) kontakt, or halion.
and it imports sf2, and sfz
