Bearing in mind the level of investment on the line here, there has to be *some* protection. Nothing OTT though, that's for sure.

The copy protection will be challenge/response. It'll be no more onerous than taking a 32-digit hardware ID code from the plugin's about screen, registering it at the AMG website and getting a license file by return email. Save the license file in the plugin's library folder and away you go. If you upgrade your hardware or get a new computer, you just need to deauthorise the old computer and authorise your new one.

What makes this system cool is that it isn't authorising the software, just the *content* - if you don't or can't authorise the libraries you've purchased, you'll still be able to use ONE to mash up your own REX's and ACID files, plus we intend to ship demo content that doesn't need authorising with every copy to keep you busy - and once you are authorised, you'll eventually be able to get value-added downloads from the user area such as new patches, multis, FX settings etc. that extend the samples in your libraries. It's pretty darn groovy if I say so myself :-)
