Linearly, the 4-3 is considered desirable in a certain convention. It may well be that some people care only to do that.
My distrust of a certain reception of 'species' lies exactly here, the 4-3 'dissonance' is a harmonic criterion, so it's really not doing anything part-writing doesn't as a pedagogy.

Everybody can have variable mileage, that's just me. But you want to follow the whole line of thought in a coherent course; and the internet as one's only source is fraught with hazard. Not everyone does well with no structure.
