You don't have to install a new OS, just make sure to install the latest updates for Windows 7 (I think you need an update to support SHA-2).

Or just install SP1, which is probably the best way to fix it!

You can try re-installing the intermediate certificates using the links below. Download the certificate files (link at the bottom of the page), then open them and click the "Install Certificate" button. If needed, you can restart your computer after that.
