Works fine here, though 140 MB for a delay seems a bit much, I wasn't interested anyway, finally did not install it...

Hmm... the Mac download is much smaller than that, only around 50 Mb or so IIRC.Tj Shredder wrote:Works fine here, though 140 MB for a delay seems a bit much, I wasn't interested anyway, finally did not install it...
Maybe that's the problem, IDK.

Yes the download is smaller, but the installer says it will need 140 MB. A delay does need RAM but the code? It seems there is a complete, mostly unused, programming environment included...

Currently the windows-file has a size of 7.5 mb,
that's quite a plausible size.

in my iMac computer, the VST and AU component of the Mono Repeater have (each one) the same size of 16,2 Mo.
My 2 cents.

On my Windows 7 computer, the total size is 32.5 MB. I see 3 files:
Mono Reapeater.dll
Mono Reapeater.exe
Mono Reapeater.vst3
My hosts are VSTHost, REAPER 0.999, Tobybear MiniHost, and Podium Free.
Mono Repeater doesn't work in all four hosts.
The standalone Mono Repeater.exe, when clicked on, displayed this error message:
"The program can't start because MSVPC1400.dll is missing from your computer."
So, I Googled "MSVPC1400l" and Google's first result is titled:
"Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 from Official Microsoft Download Center
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/downloa ... x?id=48145
So, I did download two files from that Microsoft site:
vc_redist.x64.exe
vc_redist.x86.exe
I tried to install both files but I get a message from Windows 7 stating that I already have both of them installed. So then I do an "entire-drive" search for the "MSVPC1400l.dll" file but it couldn't be found.
That's the first thing I should have done in case the "MSVPC1400l.exe" only looked in the Windows folder for it to declare ""The program can't start because MSVPC1400.dll is missing from your computer."
I give up. Mono Repeater is the only DC18 entry that I couldn't get to function on my computer.

My experience with mono repeater:
Very good GUI, self-explaining knobs. The musical mode is
very good and usable. I am a fan of the ping-pong-mode which
is working very well. The name is misguiding since in ping-pong mode it is
not mono.
The best property: You can fine-tune feedback - very good. So this is one of
the best ping-pong delays, if there weren't one fault: At a certain
feedbacklevel - so at 50-75% - there's a high rattling and distortion added
to the sound, too bad.
All in all: Very usefull.
Unfortunately it adds (not wanted) distortion.

---- Once more I wanna say: ----
This would be a good and very useful plugin
if there were not this distortion - too bad .
Perhaps it's only a small coding-problem
and can be fixed?
Problem: Distortion if feedback is turned to more
than 50%, dll-version, Reaper 5.93, Windows-10.

Maybe think of the distortion as a quirk instead of a nuisance?

It doesn't show up in Live 9.7 x64 on OSX10.9.5

Something like an additional saturation added?
It is this:
I'd like to use ping-pong-delay. But here the signal must stayenroe wrote: At a certain feedbacklevel - so at 50-75% - there's a high rattling and

clean and clear. Anything beyond that just disturbes everything.
So I can't use this "quirk" sound, sorry.

Can't vote on this one, as it does not work in ableton live 8 32bit.
