Midi timing all over the place in 2.0.6 / ProTools 6.4 OSX

While ST 2.0.6 is starting to shape up
I checked the timing by recording a hihat
by busing the output to an audio track,
and no two hits occured in the exact same position
and i mean differences of 100s of samples!

As a reason/rewire/protools user im used to
sample accurate timing and this just isnt usable
as is - is this a known issue?
