We've put together a great consolidated page for Neil Peart Drums products (and this is something that will happen for all the drummers and different series, formats etc. on esoundz). The link is:
http://www.esoundz.com/neilpeartdrums
The short summary is this. We've done three different types of products:
1. His sampled kit that you can play in either Kontakt, BFD, Session Drummer 3 (Sonar), Reason or other samplers coming.
2. His actual live played GROOVES which currently come in Rex, Apple Loops & Acid Wave (R.A.W.) and RMX Pak for Stylus RMX
3. A MUSIC release with Neil Peart Drums as the drum track and all sorts of musicians like Rik Emmett of Triumph, John Wesley of Porcupine Tree, Billy Sherwood of Yes and other great singers, guitarists and bassists playing on both Rush covers AND original songs based on the same grooves. Here's an example:
This is a clip from the Rush song YYZ that we did: http://soundcloud.com/sonicelements/yyz
Now this is a clip of an instrumental proggy tune we wrote around the same grooves of YYZ rearranged: http://soundcloud.com/sonicelements/trifecta-pt-1-wip
It's amazing how drums sound in a completely different context. With music that sounds more like Genesis and Yes Neil's drums sound a bit more like Bruford. What do you think?
Here's a link to pre-order the EP for just $5.
