Squids wrote:I really don't think anyone would need to "match ambience" for the overheads of cymbals vs. directs. There would be very very little difference. Maybe a foot closer if that? It's not like we're talking about room mics 5-10 feet away... and we're talking about cymbals not a kick or snare.
Just to be clear, I meant match the space for guitars, bass, vocals, etc. Not other drums. The character of the room is pretty obvious, which is part of the reason the kits sound so good. Added merely as a point of clarification.

MIDI grooves of Ringo playing would be a sign of the End Times. Bring on the Apocalypse!

We will actually have some midi grooves start entering into things soon. But I'll tell you more about that later as well as more exciting news about this MYSTERY kit! Never before released in any format. We'll have it available as a stereo version for other formats but the multitrack version will at least initially be exclusive for BFD! The good news is that it's almost done and in Beta.

So, cranking on the BFD kit releases here we've got the Rod Morgenstein kit available AND on sale for just $69.

For links to some of the other BFD kits on sale and all sorts of other sales items hot off the press go here: https://www.esoundz.com/news1.php?nbr=6045

Please help spread the word on the FXPansion forum and anywhere else you think these vintage flavored BFD kits would be welcome.

Next month or so we'll have Terry Bozzio and the Woody Woodmansey (Bowie) kit available along with a VERY VERY cool surprise! (that includes something for free as well so hang on and keep checking in so you don't miss it).

I'm so excited and curious about what it could be!

Fantastic. I have just sent Allen money for the crossgrade! Thank you.

We're getting closer and closer to my favorite of the Epik Drums kits... Woody Woodmansey!

I also noticed in an email that had bought the 60s and 70s kits today (instead of 2 days ago) I would have saved $10. :?

That can happen in any music store as I am sure you know. But at esoundz we're cooler than most. Talk to Allen in support and he'll hook you up with $10 in epointz. How's that for a response? :D

I got that "Act Naturally/You Won't See Me" Ringo snare drum sound out of Rod Morgenstein's kit. Exactly what I needed for the song at hand. Love it.
