BUg or not ?
fl stdio 20 : Recording in playlist /song view .set to cell mode ..notes are quantized to beats
Song mode has to be focused , it doesn't occur when pattern view /channel rack is focused
In fl studio 12 doing the same thing , notes are quantized to 16 th notes .
Steps to reproduce .
-song mode/playlist = focused ( pattern view/channel rack must be hidden )
-set to cell mode
-start recording some 16th notes from computer keyboard .
result = notes are quantized to beats .
This doesn't occur when then the channel rack is focused and the playlist is hidden ( but still set to song mode )
Do the same thing in fl studio 12 ; notes are qantized to 16 th
In other words ,cell mode behaves totally different when playlist is focused and recorded into .
Recording into song mode , set to cell ..BUG ?

Edit: seems that the bug is also present when directly recording into a pattern ( inside the pattern )
( in pattern mode ) when main snap is set to cell , pattern snap is set to step = everything is quantized to beats .
-launch fl studio , set main snap to cell
-enter a pattern container /piano roll ( make sure snap is set to step )
-start recording from keyboard ..stop recording .
-everythin is snapped to beats
My point being , in fl studio 12 , when recording was set to cell in song mode ..it was recorded unquantized ..cell only applied to the movement of the containers ..NOT the recorded note data ..
( in pattern mode ) when main snap is set to cell , pattern snap is set to step = everything is quantized to beats .

Just record into arrangement window (must be focused ) when main snap is set to cell .
Then do the same with a previous fl version .and notice the diffenrence

At least a confirmation from the image line team woul be appreciated .
Verry simple to reproduce .- (play from pc keyboard )
-Launch flstudio
-set global mode to cell and record into pattern editor ( only channel rack visible ) =result is unquantized ...like previous versions .
But as soon as the arrangement window is also opened/focused ( doesn't matter if one records into pattern or arrangement ) , the notes are quantized to beats .
