Which imho is the best soft clone out there .
The promo demo sucks balls..drenched in distortion..yikkes...I like My 303 pure.

Actually, IL killed TR404 long time ago, somewhere at Fruity Loops 4.12 or 4.14 version.
Before that TR404 worked differently because you could set long release and then automate other knobs and when you applied distortion on it you would achieve electric guitar-ish sound which was awesome, no other plugin could compete with it when used that way.
The last version known to me which worked that way was Fruity Loops 4.10. After that TR404 became one useless boring plugin, at least to me. I didn't use it that much so I didn't really care about the change.
