I first found this youtube video, about FL Zen Litium skin for FL Studio 10...I searched for years for something that looks decent... at last this is pretty. Just got it and its awesome...

I really think it's horrible. Not that i like default skin i don't but this one is looking horrible..

Not that its perfect but Would be nice Kmonkey to hear more critiq than just "horrible"

first there are no screenshots on the page. only small little borders.
then i saw the video: indeed the skin looks like shit. horrible is the right
word for that.

In response to the request for a more specific critique:

This skin seems mostly lighter- to medium-grey and lower-contrast in nature. Some people seem to like darker skins (myself included), others like a very light, apple-product-style color set. Those users that are slightly older like a higher-contrast color combo.

This skin therefore seems to be one that will miss the interest of almost all users -- too light to suit dark-skin lovers, too dark to suit light-skin lovers, and too low-contrast to suit those with impaired eyesight. When you are designing something that you want many other users to desire, it helps to have a specific target group in mind. I'm not sure who the intended audience might be for this skin...

I agree with them most of them look horribleI; dark and flat graphics, like they were arted by the "columbine school shooters' or something..

I think FL Zen Litium Skin has a superior physical/ organic look

I don't use FL...but yeah, I'm one of those one's who prefer higher contrast, and to me, this looks like shit.
But, I also might be a bit biased, I don't really like products "pimped" as such.
