I am also in the camp of wanting a refund. I haven't been able to use this plugin, well ever. I am putting the feelers out there for it before I email support.

my specs:

Leopard...10.5.6 newest version
Macbook, Core2duo 2.4
4 gigs ram
Ableton Live -Newest version

Toxic Biohazard. Same problems EVERYONE else is having. So would I be entitled to a refund as another user got one. Thanks.

The problems, as far as I know, are only on the Mac version. First the CPU issue, holding down a few notes uses about 60% on my MacBook pro, the other problem is that I can not download the presets, the download manager either crashes or just does not download. I have tried each version of Biohazard and had the same problems, and have reported them here. I bought Toxic 3 from Max Claster before he joined Image Line, and accepted losing it when I moved to the Mac, so I have no complaints, it was a bonus when the Mac version came, but it has never been usable because of the CPU use. It would be great if it did get fixed.

I've uploaded a new version of the downloader (v2.1.2) that fixes a crashing bug in OSX. If you want to try it out, you can download it from:
- the "Content Library" item under My Licenses on your account page
- the "Check for updates now" menu in the Download Manager application

just so you know i installed sawer demo and it said the il download manager was v 1.02 and when i went check for updates it said i already had the latest version, but i installed it from my fl content page and now it says 2.1.2

I will check downloading biohazard presets now, but please, fix the denormals so we can actually use the synth.

Are you sure it said 1.0.2? That's Sawer's version, but the downloader should be 2.something (as there was never a 1.something version for mac).

hi, maybe i made an error. In any case, there is a toxic biohazard 1.03 installer that i just tried, and the denormals seem fixed. The installer has a march 4, 2009 date so it must have just been put there.. Funny none of us knew about it.

The other good news is, that i managed to download all the extra banks from within toxic vst in live 7, and also managed to successfully close the IL DL manager after that.

the bad news is, live crashed on exit.

So finally when i though everything was on the right track, the first bug is back to haunt us. I give up. seriously.

well some more news. It doesn't crash on exit now. So obviously it only does this if you have used the downloader. The difference is this time at least I got the downloaded patches to install. But yeah i doublechecked and reopened the DLer whilst toxic was open in live, and logic, closed the Dler, then quit logic, crash, quit live, crash. Same with AU and VST.

And i spoke to soon. denormals still there with a vengeance on bass presets.

It's obvious you guys just can't get this right.

I have zero confidence of any kind in image-line anymore, and especially in maxx's mac coding skills.

I am over and out, i have wasted enough time over the past 9 months troubleshooting this thing, so I am seeking a license transfer from IL or i am going to go to the australian fair trade ombudsman (we have a law here that IL might be surprised to hear about, i am sick of all of you to be blunt). I have had it. Please don't ask me any further questions, i am not spending any more time on this. Not even another second. Goodbye.

REFLEX, straight up, what is max's issue mate?

I re[ported the denormals back in july 2008!

When the denormal phenomenon started, people would issue fixes for their plugins withing DAYS. what is so hard for max to figure out?

poizone has graphic corruption issues, toxic has stability and denormal issues.

why on earth do image line happily take money from mac user's hands when the stuff is broken?

don't they have a legal OBLIGATION o fix this?

I mean, comeon! Me and other people want to use our toxic on mac. ffs!
