Hello KVR,

I have a Make Noise shared system and recently filled in the expansion HP with a Expert Sleepers ES-8.

I have it connected to my (Firewire) UAD Apollo via ADAT in/out. I get audio in and CV goes out, but the audio has tons of crackling, popping, etc.

When I use the ES-8 with USB, there is no crackling, popping, etc so I assume it is a clock sync issue between the Apollo and the ES-8.

I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting --- Apollo clock set to internal, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions? So bummed, I was so excited for the ES-8. Thank you community in advance!

I'm thinking its more about the Apollo than the ES-8, since it works fine on USB. I don't have another ADAT interface to test it.

Definitely seems like a clock issue. Are you sure the Apollo isn't trying to lock to the clock from the ES-8? How about if you only connect the ADAT in one direction e.g. Apollo to ES-8?

Are you confident your ADAT cables are any good?
