Hello,
Recently I bought an ES-9 which is great and now I also have the Es-5 Expansion.. My retailer and I can't seem to figure out how to set it up. In the manual it's not really clear to us.
It seems like there are only 2 channels available for audio and cv and we think we see in your promo video that the rest of the channels are gate expanders. On the other hand, you said in the video that you can expand the Es-9 to 48 channels if you use more ES-5's.
We both tested it on my system and on the system at my retailer's store (Midi Amsterdam)
Could you please explain what to do now and how to configure it?
THNX in advance,
Angelo

See https://expert-sleepers.co.uk/es5usermanual.html for connection details.
You need to use Silent Way ES-5 Controller, or the max/msp or VCV encoders (https://expert-sleepers.co.uk/vcvrack_encoders.html) to actually drive the ES-5.
If your ES-9's configuration is still default the ES-5 will be on audio channels 7/8.

Thnx for your feedback!
Are you saying that I have to buy a plugin after spending €660 euro to let your products work together properly?

No, the ES-5 encoders are free.

Hmmm, but not the ES-5 controllers which, in my opinion, should be a VST plugin you provide with your hardware if it is needed to make it work properly.
Anyway, thanks for your info
