Just download using this link for the 64bit version
http://www.mutools.com/mulab/m8/mulab-8-0-36-win64.zip
Then download the update using this
http://www.mutools.com/mulab/m8/mulab-8 ... 64-exe.zip
Copy the two files in the update to the folder you installed MuLab to. It's easy to do.

Perhaps - for open beta - Jo should offer the whole package as a download with every new version...carllackey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 10:14 pm i give up it still won't work. thanks anyway. i have never seen a program require so much work just to download.

No
Just slow down, have some coffee, read the instructions completely. then move forward.
Key concept.....,Mutools doesnt install..you simply replace the application .and the all iimportant id file.
Better to keep the beta in a separate folder for now.

Doesn't apply on the Mac, of course - just replace the App, whatever that is.

I'm getting a warning that my temporary key is running out and to check my spam folder as I should have received a full key by now. Checked it nowt there. Just wondering, how long does the temp M8 key last for? It just becomes a limited demo doesn't it, , , there's no hidden self destructing element to this is there

I want to try and propose an idea ... In almost every DAW the timeline count starts at 0, right? However, if it starts from zero it means that at the beginning of the piece of music or of the audio track there are no seconds of silence (or empty space). In your opinion, it may be useful (or convenient) to insert an empty space (a sort of pre-timeline) at the beginning of the timeline, in such a way as to create only two seconds of silence (or even 1) before the song begins from point 0? It is true that the operation can be done very well then going to move the whole song forward (or to the right), but then the count of the BAR goes out of time .. or out of sync ... I do not know ... What do you think?

Well, Suono, I asked for zero-start a loooong time ago.
I'd like it for sending MIDI-data to Instruments, so that they are prepared properly at 1:1. Or for notes with slow attac, that should sound at 1:1, or ....
The workaround is, to finish everything, then move the whole thing to the right and insert the starting events. For rendering it does not matter. But composing is irritating when sequences start at 2 or 6 ...

Will there be an introduction price for the MUX V8 update, too?

M8.0.46 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/m8/
What's changed:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.
Also the M8 docs have been further completed: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/m8/docs
What's changed:
- Sequence editor: [Alt]+doubleclick on an event's length value (in the event property panel) now let you edit the length by editing that event's end time. It also let you see the exact event end time.
- When importing a sample audio file as "Sliced Multi-Sample" then transient markers will always be created independent of the "Auto Create Transient Markers" preference.
- Virtual Keyboard: When pressing keys on the computer keyboard, now the relevant buttons are also lit.
- Export Composition To Audio File: When there is a selection of parts and you choose Yes on "Only export selected parts?" then the From Position and To Position are auto set to the selection start-end.
- When the project browser listed a complex search, then switching between composer and part editor could be slowed down. Fixed.
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

It is a cool look, but can we have an option to change them back to the original square look?Especially the piano roll notes. In the next M8.0.45 the note events will use straight corners when the notes have a small height.
Actually they don't, not perfectly square like earlier versions. In compose mode they are, but not edit mode, which is what is important.
When the notes are perfect rectangles it just looks so nice & crisp. Maybe it seems trivial but, well, I am simply wondering why you would change one of the coolest piano rolls in the industry.
So yeah, I understand with the audio clips, the rounded corners can really help to visually separate them when there are alot of markers in use. At the very least, an option in preferences would be much appreciated for this, or just keep it the same as it was!
As I said earlier...nice upgrade dude, really nice.
MuTools, modest as usual...

Ok i see what you mean. Even for small height notes there still is 1 pixel off perfectly squared like in M7. Fixed that in the next version. I've also slightly increased the minimum height at which subtle rounding starts. See the next M8.0.47.Grizzellda wrote:Actually they don't, not perfectly square like earlier versions.
