Trying to sync up a Volca synth to play on beat with my DAW but my current 2x2 interface doesnt support midi. Should I buy a new interface with midi, or just keep it and get a usb to midi?
Not too sure exactly how it works. What option and hardware do you recommend?

This one looks alright: https://www.thomann.de/de/behringer_u_p ... c204hd.htm
I have a Steinberg UR22 mk2, but, that one is a bit more expensive.
I'm surprised how many in- and outputs the Behringer has. Seems like extremely good value for money, if the drivers are working stable, and the latency is low enough.

So do you suggest getting an interface with built in midi, versus just adding a usb to midi?chk071 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 4:02 pm This one looks alright: https://www.thomann.de/de/behringer_u_p ... c204hd.htm

I'd get a midi & audio interface with low latency ASIO drivers.

Technically it does not matter if the interface does support both or if you have two devices. If its for the road the combined solution needs less cabling. at home I guess the price will determine what makes more sense...Butwug wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 3:55 pm Trying to sync up a Volca synth to play on beat with my DAW but my current 2x2 interface doesnt support midi. The combined interface also would need a Midi cable, you can get a Midi interface cable for the price of two Midi cables already:

and there are two more brands for the same price...
