I'm not sure if the free Melda plugins can be loaded in MXXX core but the free Melda pack has a lot to offer. https://www.meldaproduction.com/bundles

You are in for a big ride hunting freebies it can literally take you years to test them all out! Don't forget to test what is in your DAW there is usually a lot of good stuff there too. But since your on your way to endless plugin chase Rabbit Hole here are 2 good sources:

MXLinux21, 16 Gig RAM, Intel i7 Quad 3.9, Reaper 6.42, Behringer 204HD or Win7 Steinberg MR816x

Awesome! Thank you for the headsup!

As far as multi-fx (vs seperate fx) there are some free ones that havent been mentioned yet:

LFX-1310
(This is 32 bit only though)
http://sonic-cat.com/lfx-1310/

Amplitube Custom Shop
(64 bit only, can purchase extra gear if you like)
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/a ... php?p=gear

Not necessarily free... but I use this personally:
Diversionfx CM
($5-$7 for issue #176 of the Computer Music magazine)
https://youtu.be/GDZ1cYg6oxg

Another Computer Music magazine gem is Freestyle CM. Its a chainer, meaning you can load seperate plugins into one instance of it. Granted, with this one, you can only use CM plugins that are included in their vault

Yeah, wanted to propose DiversionFx earlier. Tone2 Warmverb is another good one, was free with one issue of Computer Music, and also Beat magazine. Maybe you'll find that back issue.

My recommendation is to get to know your native DAW tools first, I think the only channel effect I go outside Ableton regularly for is reverb.

Some good free reverbs are

- TAL Reverb II, III, IV
- U-he Protoverb
- Voxengo - OldSkoolVerb

Warmverb is amazing.

Free is also amazing but there is something to be said for BYOME, Tantra, and the GlitchMachines plugin effect - all of which can be had for cheap if you wait.

GM Quadrant is $5 at PB currently!

It is not a multifx perse... But it is fun as Hell!

Thank you very much for all the replies every one

I will google to see which computer music edition diversion cm was featured on.. I recall the was a issue with the version that came with mag release but was subsequently fixed

If you look for free, the first start is allways your DAW. In Live or Bitwig and actually most other DAWs I would not look for a multieffect. They need to squeeze the multi into one UI. All these DAWs allow you to combine internal and VSTs to your liking. Well Bitwig certainly does even parallel patches... The really good patchable VSTs are not free at all like BYOME for example... (though FreeStyle would be something to consider, as its almost free...)
