Harmor here too. It's a ridiculously powerful synth once you start poking around in its innards. I still remember the "holy shit" moment when I realised just how much of it can be customised. I'm currently into the direct copy/paste functionality which makes editing your analysis data in an image editor quick and easy - no image files clogging your drive.

HALion.
I've got Diversion, Predator, Helix, the LinPlug stuff, Saurus, OP-X, Hybrid 3, Vacuum Pro, Absynth, Z3ta, MonoPoly, Largo... But I nearly always end up using HALion.

Not really sure what you mean by "monster". Unless a synth is limited in some way, you should be able to get a good performance out of any synth - you just have to figure out what its strengths and weaknesses are and play to them.
Sweet child in time...

A "monster" synth that I don't have and I'm thinking of getting it is Cypher2. I have Strobe2 and love it, but for more complex sounds I think Cypher2 is great. d
Anyway, I don't have MPE keyboard to take advantage of such expressions, but maybe I don't need it that much! Below is an overview tutorial which I think highlights its strengths:

Id say monster synths are the ones that does a wide variety of stuff. Such as Zebra 2, Falcon, Avenger. I dont know which one is considered the most fully featured out there, but I would guess Falcon would take the cake.

Very few people talk about Halion or other Steinberg plugins here at KVR, but those who do always talk in a very positive way of them.

Halion is stunning. I admittedly have not explored it as much as I need to, but what I have used is quite fantastic. Simon S. has some amazing vids. I remember a granular one that blew my mind!

I think it suffers from being a Steinberg product.
I have about 15 (can't remember the exact number) soft synths, including Largo, Predator, Diversion, LinPlug Spectral, Absynth... Every time I use one in a project, I end up replacing it with HALion. Take from that what you will.

It's strange really. Retrologue and Padhshop aren't half bad either. Especially Retrologue is quite nice. The quasi poor man's Sylenth1.
Of course, if you have Halion, both are obsolete, because they're both offsprings of the Halion engine, AFAIK.

Retrologue is a wonderful synth. I loved it, but I had to sell it when I sold my Steinberg USB (the dongle) because I don't use the soft e-licenser (due to several problems with my system).
But if you already have a dongle, then I highly recommend it. Now it is Retrologue 2 of course which add more features and also easier drag and drop modulations from sources to destinations (some not everything). Anyway, the sound is fantastic with low cpu usage. It sounds Retro (vintage) something like a Roland Jupiter.
The main negative point is the fixed small size. It was barely Ok though with my 27" and 32" monitors (with 1080p).
