I agree, for music videos that are watched on YouTube. The eye is much happier when it can piece together a story. I find pure visualizations to be tiring unless they are expertly done. However, I think music videos made for live concert consumption can be different, as they are intended to be consumed in short glances or even peripherally.

I've been playing around with Magic Music just to add some visuals to my music for youtube. I haven't done anything that is truly amazing. Really its just for quickly getting some visuals going.
