Since switching from Mac to Windows, this is the only application I was unable to find a descent alternative. I actually need something that could catch outgoing audio from an application or system audio and be able to run 3rd party plugins on top.

Suggestions?

That can be done with:

-- audacity
-- wavosaur
-- waveshop
-- ...

just choose the correct audio-channel and hit "record".

Seems I haven't explained my intentions - I don't need the recording capability just running it live with 3rd party plugins on top. So monitoring purposes.

There is such a thing, but I’m having trouble recalling it’s name, and I own a copy! I’ll see if I can track it down today.

Would be phantastic if you could do that because im looking for something like that too.

(I.e. something that intercepts all Windows/Application audio like ASIO does so you can apply FX to any audio stream (like for instance a game or a media player or your webbrowser) before it goes out to the LineOut/Amplifier.)

One way of doing it would be with a virtual audio cable, like, erm Virtual Audio Cable or Virtual Audio Stream

application > vac -> vst host -> audio out

my other modular synth is a bugbrand

It's one way to do it. Need to try this, thanks.

Though still would be great to have a one-stop solution like Audio Hijack.

Tried it, but it's still more of a recorder without proper plugin support and live streaming.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
