i've just downloaded 2.43. so 2.5 is not yet released and it's friday night in Europe, means not before ... i don't know.

This. IMO it's not a mistake. They did the same with the new sampler.
2.5 release is near. I am wondering what new features will it have.
GPU accelerated GUI maybe?

Imagine 60 FPS, fluent GUI.
