This "illuminated" claims it needs an "overhaul". I wonder what kind of "overhaul" does he want? Maybe a dumb down one, like it has been made in several other things in the past, and is a kind of Apple tradition?

There are things that can't be simplified, for the simple fact they AREN'T simple. Unless you cut features, making them unavailable to the user.

I imagine it is to do with the ui. While it certainly is not on the same level as Ultrabeat, it could definitely do with some tweaking :tu:

I used to work for apple , trust me logic 11 will not drop for at least another 2/3 years , trust me on that , if it’s not broke and they got the code working nice , they will not bother

I'm not even interested in Logic 11. I'm interested in fixes for existing issues.

I certainly don't want it simplified or any capability taken out. I do think workflow could be refined.

Some of the controls are rather tiny and hard to grab quickly. It could use some contrast in some places. Id love to see what u-he did with it!

I agree. The UI and workflow are not perfect, but I wouldn't want to see any major changes to either.

Glad it's 10.4.5 and not 10.5
I think 10.5 will be a very big update, like 10.4
can't wait :hihi:

Well, by the time that "news" got posted I had already detected some bugs in 4.5...

I have no issues with the main section, but the modulation/morph area could do with some work.

I think 4.5 is kinda like a sort of public beta. They may need some more feedback on certain things from a broader user base - such as whether the dynamic plugin loading is great or annoying (IMO it has the potential for a bit of both in it), whether things are working well on all sorts of machines and in all scenarios (as an example, apparently freezing isn't exactly foolproof due to the dynamic plugin loading feature) and so on. And they may then do some changes before dropping a larger update.

Anyway, as many issues I may have with Apple as a company, this update is looking extremely promising without any doubt. And I hardly ever say such a thing.
