I know Lars was involved with Session Strings. Is there anywhere to pick up this collection anymore on CD/DVD? There's that online download from MI7 (?), but its very expensive to do that way.

I can't find this set anywhere and I've looked EVERYWHERE.

BTW, excellent job on the Bolivian Panpipes! Another favorite.

Seems like former Primesounds (Mi-7 Libraries) has stopped the distribution of the CD package of all the titles we released when I was involved. I looked at the Big Fish Audio site and the others released at the same time like "Dirt keeps the funk" and "Methods of Mayhem 2" is out of print... Seems like they wants to focus on the Internet and downloadable sounds instead of CD's...Try E-bay. :)
I hope you will get some use of the panpipe in the future. :)

No luck on Ebay and all the sellers I've found on the net are outside the US. The total cost of the MI7 downloads would total something like 400 euros. I don't think I can spring that for this library.

Guess it wasn't meant to be. I'll be forever kicking myself that I didn't buy this a year ago when I first got interested in it.

Hold on! I will check with the guys at Mi-7 if there is any copies left. I can't promise you anything but i will ask them.

Hope you find it, Joseph. I keep plugging this library every chance I get. It's not a huge sample set with loads of articulations but what it does, it does very well. For simple legato string parts it's pretty darned hard to beat, it has a warmth and liveliness that rivals any other string library I've heard.

It's funny, another of my absolute favourite string sample sets when it comes to the basic tone is from the old orchestral library Peter Siedlaczek made for MasterBits (before the Advanced Orchestra) and it's an even smaller sample set than Session Strings.

Hey Joseph

You can make the total download to about 120 euros.

Only download the version you need (Kontakt - for you I think) - the full.zip file - 6.95 euros pr. instrument articulation.

All the best
Bo

Okay. That helps. I was only seeing the Sample Packs before, but I just searched for the samples and found them.

I assume each _Full download contains all that I'll need for any articulation.

Its still a bit pricier than the CD, but its better than never owning it.

Thanks Bo!

Lars, any news? Not to bother you, but since Bo posted saying there's a better option from the MI7 website, I'll just buy it there if there's no CD's available.

I have mailed Mi-7 and i hope to get an answer today. I let you know as soon as I hear from them

Check out the http://www.mi7.com/ site under Products/Primesounds. It may be more afordable to order the CD from them then the download.

Post

Well I never have been able to see the forest for the trees. I don't know why I didn't stumble onto this myself.

Just ordered it. I can't wait!

Oh yeah, and before I forget...

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Precisionsounds is one of the top developers out there!

Absolutely astounding price for Session Strings through this website for anyone interested and I'll surely pass this along for anyone that needs this info in the future. I got it for less (with expedited shipping no less) than I could have gotten it for through Big Fish Audio 6 months ago.

Many thanks Lars!
