The bottleneck in my songwriting is definitely writing the lyrics.
Words don't come easily.
I know I should read more... poetry, fiction etc.
Do you have any advice... any web resources that you could recommend that might help me out here ?
I'm struggling to come up with Lyrics in my songwriting - any advice or web resources that might help ?

Read more books. Listen to more lyrics. I don't honestly think there's any web resources that'll compensate for a lack of that.
It has to come from the heart or it's not worth it.
It doesn't have to make sense literally, only emotionally.

I make music: progressive-acoustic | electronica/game-soundtrack work | progressive alt-metal

Don't worry about reading. Just think about all the crap in the world, how much shite pisses you off and let the vitriol spew forth. It has worked for years for me. Just embrace your dark, negative, hateful snd spiteful side...music is not meant to be uplifting, it is meant to be a catharsis and if it makes other people miserable, then that is just a bonus.
