Yes, I am going to do it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ht5RZpzPqw
I am relying on the guitarists here to give me tips on what virtual amps and FX I'll need to pull this off. I have some decent virtual guitar libraries so they shouldn't be too much of an issue given most of their stuff is riffs and power chords.
For FX, I have Guitar Rig 5, Amplitude 4 and Peavey Revalver.
Oh, and for bass I have MODO bass, which should cover it.
I greatly appreciate any tips you guys can give me.
** EDIT ** Just finished listening to Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch and Enema Of The State. The transition of this band between the first and third albums is nothing short of startling. By Enema they became so polished. I will probably do a combination of these 3 albums because they all bring something to the table. In the meantime, I still have Take Off Your Pants And Jacket and Blink-182 to listen to (tomorrow) and then I'm going to stop there. I have no desire to do the "new" Blink as it's just not the same group.
In the meantime, still appreciate any tips anybody can give me. Thanks.

Sorry Wags, but what are you going to do? I can guess, but you're not specific.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

A CD in the style of Blink 182. Sorry, thought that was obvious.ramseysounds wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 12:07 pm Sorry Wags, but what are you going to do? I can guess, but you're not specific.

Well, looks like I'm on my own here.
This is what I came up with for the first track.
In The Blink Of An Eye
You're here you're gone
And I go on
You never cared
I never dared
I gave everything I had to you
Now there's nothing left for me to do
And now you're gone
In the blink of an eye
In the blink of an eye
You said I'm fat
Then left like that
I tried to cope
I was a dope
Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus
Now I'm sittin' and thinkin'
Now I'm taken to drinkin'
Now I'm wondering what is left to do
With you
Now I'm cryin' and wheezin'
Now I'm itchin and sneezin'
Now I'm plotting to make you pay and pay
To your dying day
Instrumental Break
Repeat Verse 1, Pre Chorus and Chorus 2x

My next track
Crispy Critter
I hear you cook men and eat them alive
I don't know how anyone survives
I have thoughts but too scary to describe
If I tried surely I know I would die
Stand back
Stand back
Stand back
I must be free
No I can't see
Don't want to be
Your crispy critter
No
Please just let me go
You are a cannibal of the nth degree
I don't know what you'd ever see in me
I'm as skinny as skinny as can be
Please just leave me alone and set me free
Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus

Why is this in Production Techniques as well as in the Music Cafe?

Because here I'm asking for production help (which obviously I'm not going to get) and there I'm just posting my songs as usual.thecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 5:10 pm Why is this in Production Techniques as well as in the Music Cafe?

Did a few things of note for this track.
1. Double tracked guitars wide left and right.
2. Dirtied up vocals.
3. Lots of overdrive and distortion on bass.
4. Saturation on drums.
5. Pushed high end just a bit so just not to go into red zone.
I used to do stuff like this years ago without a limiter. My tape deck took a real beating.
Anyway, song itself is pretty ridiculous. Not to be taken seriously at all.
Pork Roll (I Don't Want No Taylor Ham)
Hungry, hungry
Yes I'm very hungry
But I'm very picky
No Lean Cuisine
Something meaty
Something nice and treaty
Something I can licky
That don't taste mean
What am I longing for
What do I want much more
Pork roll
Pork roll
Pork roll
I don't want no Taylor Ham
Pork roll
Pork roll
Pork roll
Eat it even on the lam
Cursing, cussing
Why all of the fussing
Who cares what we call it
Long as it's good
Fussing, fighting
The pilot it needs lighting
Cook it nice and tender
On slabs of wood
Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Verses 3 and 4
Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus 2x
