What free synths are good for Vocaloid songs?

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

I want to produce a few songs but I don’t know what exactly the instruments I need. I want synths that can make songs like these:

https://soundcloud.com/vocaroid/kaito-doctor-funk-beat

https://soundcloud.com/babuchan/frozen- ... tsune-miku

https://soundcloud.com/lala-torres-6/me ... rine-luka

https://soundcloud.com/madi-the-kitten/ ... tton-candy

https://soundcloud.com/xjodie/the-promi ... u-nie-lamp

And most importantly
https://soundcloud.com/basenumbers/0-ze ... mix-mashup

I can’t afford crap.. I don’t even got a $1 to spare.. and it won’t be like that for some time. I have FL studio 20 though. I would love some help!

Ah, yes...Fruity Loops! The DAW-du-jour for people who have no money :D

Anyway, no worries. Everything you need can be found in FLS :tu:

The free synths you got with FL Studio will suffice

If you want to do Vocaloid songs (I've done a few hundred) you are going to need to buy Vocaloid. You do understand that, right? As far as synths, yeah, whatever comes with FLS will be fine. If you want, download Synth1 (it's free) and the 15,000 sounds that are floating around for it. That should keep your more than busy enough.

Synths don't make songs. Song writers do ...

I hear some VA and digital sounds. Synth1, Dexed, SQ8L, and the synths that come with FL (Sytrus especially).
Many paid and free VSTs as well as Kontakt libraries. As well as HW synths/drum machine and acoustic instruments.

and vocaloid?

Not talking about the vocaloid, I’m talking about the instruments backing it. The cheapest alternative for vocals is called AlterEgo by Plogue.

I already have vocaloid. There's another free alternative called UTAU but i don't use that much. I'm mostly looking for the instruments backing it.

Maybe something like Synth1 and Oxe FM wouldn’t be that bad for what you’re looking for. For the pianos, you could use 4Front Piano Module and orchestral stuff you could use Sonatina Orchestra (I use the VST version) and VSCO2, also SQ8L for some of the more digital synth bells and stuff.

Something that is free (at the moment) is EmVoice. Thats a good Vocaloid.
Pick it up before the Alpha is launched. https://emvoiceapp.com/
U-He have also some free synths, e.g. Tyrell.
IK Multimedia have some free synths too.

(most are paid, but some are free)
UVI Also had a free synth giveaway not so long ago, for 90s based synths. Very nice.
