I'm trying to imitate some older orchestral sounds.
I know from other things like surf guitar and gated drums that the type of reverb can be a big part of a sound.
Is there any type of reverb you'd generally if you were going for 60s style orchestra sound? (Or any other effects/techniques)
(Also could a mod move this over to the Production Techniques section? I should have made this topic there.. )
Best reverb or other tricks for old sounding orchestra?

You’re meaning old orchestra recordings, right? I’d go with a large, fairly clean room sound. As i understand it those recordings were done in large, well treated, studios. So a natural sound.

And you have to add some tape/record wobble, they all sound out of tune...
