Ahah aha first HATEFISh is the name of the electronics c producer who suggested me the idea of the plugin he happens to be Italian too so you should ask him the reason of the name
Second, the only reason why it appears as vst effect is because PT crashes badly if I specify 0 audio input and outputs, since our plugins use the same code base for every format and are then wrapped in the specific kind f plugin I though it was ok to go with the vst. If it’s a pronblem I can change it and find a solution for pro tools.
Regarding the suggestions, feel free to let them come, I have plans to add the offset and specific step modifiers (like accents) in the 1.1 version i’m Working on right now

I'll re-check how Renoise handles VSTfx sending MIDI, so far haven't been able to use it there.HoRNet wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:26 am Second, the only reason why it appears as vst effect is because PT crashes badly if I specify 0 audio input and outputs, since our plugins use the same code base for every format and are then wrapped in the specific kind f plugin I though it was ok to go with the vst. Reaper works fine, not sure how other DAWs handle it yet( also have Cubase and MuLab ).
Would it be a problem to have one set outputs with zero outputlevel, so you can build a VSTi version with support for PT?
My suggestions can be read on Gearslutz:

Thanks for responding Saverio.

Please add a randomize button and let the user set the parameter range for each lane.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but all the depicted sequencers indicate they have audio outputs. The bottom row also audio inputs. If fact, none of those connections are active. Don't know anything about PT, but can this allow you to be VSTi? (Legend blue = audio, white the active midi connections)

Midi drag and drop! This would make it something I would purchase. Also, second the randomize, accent, shift requests.
The typical things you find in an advanced Euclid sequencer.
Also, will add that I like the idea of it in an FX slot so I wouldn't want that changed.

Why do you like it in an FX slot?
It blocks audio, and I have two DAWs already that can’t transmit MIDI from an effect to a different track. This plugin should be a VSTi, like the rest. Or offer both types.

Loving this, even tho it's crashing Logic 10.12.4 as an AU; I'm using it inside BlueCat Patchwork as a vst, and that works well. Top feature for me is also unique, AFAIK: Arpeggiates, making this the most musical Euclidean device of the many I have for use with tonal sounds. I know no others that allow such precise, realtime, interactive control of the pitches being run thru the Euclidean patterns. Top wishes for me are per-lane pattern shifting, preset saving/loading, and parameter modulation.

Regarding the VSTi / VST issue i think it's a limitation of the framework we are using, or a bug of some form since if I don't specify an audio input and that it accepts midi i get a VSTi, if i add audio input i get a VST... i'll check it out.

For your information:
I can confirm this plugin works in Fl studio 20, set a MIDI outputport in the VSTfx options and set that same port in the MIDI inputport of the VSTi you want to control. This only works with other synths then the native 3xOSC synth. 3xOSC doesn't include a MIDI input option.
Haven't tried Cubase yet.

Cubase 10:
- Create an instrument track, with a VSTi
- Create a second instrument track, no VSTi.
- Place the Hornet plugin in an insertslot of the second instrument track.
- Select first instrument track.
- On the left menu side (inspector): click all MIDI inputs.
- Select intrument track2: Hatefish Rhygen.
Go play.
