Didn't find it bad either. I expected much worse after reading opinions about it here. :D

When I discovered it I couldn't stop using it on every sound material to get a good laugh. Adds some horrible bouncing metallic echo that can even be tuned to sound ridiculously high pitched to everything... :D

Seriously : bridge this one. :hihi:

Wow, this thing is cursed.

Grand Canyon.

It´s not even 64bit and you cannot load it.

But you can get loaded there so it is only half as bad.

It's on a lot of platinum records.

Simple, unassuming and low CPU, but not as bad as you suggest. Maybe you are not using it right.
Article dated 2007 which was the last time True Verb was relevant...... :hihi:

Really? I would have though that it would be a terrific pedal.

Maybe it's a VST I missed instead?

This. BlueVerb DRV-2080 makes everything sound like it was recorded in a trash can.

Trueverb is pretty good for special applications. It definitely is dated, but in no means bad because of it. Just don't try to use it as a generic purpose reverb.
No signature here!

Maybe. But it doesn't go from the tool of the masters to absolute garbage in 12 years. Well, unless you ask the opinion of one of the world-class experts at KVR :hihi:

Version 3 had it. Didn't even have a metronome. No, seriously.

I discovered a horrible, terrible reverb as a young kid. It was actually a younger kid.
He kept repeating everything I said.
I told him "Stop that!"
He replied "Stop THAT THat That that that that...."
I said to him, "You little snot!"
He replied "You little SNOT SNot Snot snot snot snot...."

Worst reverb ever!

The Audio Damage Ratshack Reverb sounds pretty damn awful. But it's meant to :)

even the "BEST" reverbs can sound like crap when you don't know
how to use them.

Naah, won`t happen.
There is no predelay and you cannot dampen the tail.

btw Trueverb is still great for short reverbs.
The Guitarroom preset is great for heavy rhythm guitars.
