Everyplugin is advertising the discount. Maybe AD hasn’t updated their site yet - they would normally participate in a sale like this. You need to get a code from the Waves WUP page and plug that into a form to find out what the dealer price will be. It should be (a bit) lower.

My personal favorite (so long as we're piling on) is the license transfer rule of full WUP plus 5% of full retail. Complete non-starter. But I will say that the Soundgrid thing is lovely on the live front.

After my initial excitement after discovering my WUP renewal was not so bad, I was quickly reminded of the bullshit transfer fee on top and Waves immediately went back into the bad books, because the total cost of transferring became more than the lowest sales price.

Just bumping this, in regards of the recent V11 release. The data from my initial post seems to still be intact:
- 9% of the MSRP
- minimum of 12$

Waves are a shower of money grabbing b*****ds. Just needed to get that off my chest.
WUP purchased.
WUP purchased.

Probably because it was legally dubious to begin with.krabbencutter wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 1:39 pm But before y'all go get your pitchforks, I'm happy to announce that the expiration penalty seems to be gone
So no matter how long your WUP has been expired, there will be no additional cost involved.

Once you have bought a license, either via a V11 plugin or upgraded to a V11 license, it's yours to use as long as you like, either until the end of time or until the next MacOS upgrade
WUP does not affect your ability to use your plugins. If you upgrade your old licences to V11 licenses, you can use the V11 plugins forever. If you don't, you can use your old ones forever too.
