Dear friends at KVR,
I would like to open a bit of a discussion about my product called mix:analog.
Here is a KVR info page about it
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/mix-an ... mix-analog
It is an online cloud based tool with which you can bounce your stems or mixes through analog gear, adjust parameters and hear the results in real time. There is nothing to install, you just need a fairly recent web browser and a good internet connection.
My team and I have been working on this for years to make it happen and would appreciate some honest feedback on the concept. No need to hold back if you don't like it or if you are sceptical, all comments are welcome

Yeah, and I encourage all users to do that. The difference either is there or isn't and you can make up your mind easily because it's your files and your settings in your studio. Thanks for replying, this is indeed a good way to use it.

i'll be sure to test that. i've never worked with hardware and, to be perfectly honest, never cared - for my purposes, plugins always sounded just fine. it'll be interesting to see if i can in fact hear a difference. (or, to be more precise, if i can hear a difference that i can't get through just using a different plugin/setting)
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I would recommend the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter for that kind of testing, as it is a single unit it's easy to shoot it out against other software limiters. Brickwall processing is very commonly a job for plugins where they have quite a few advantages like lossless lookahead and huge CPU budget if you are doing mastering independently.
But the Bettermakers are still flying off the shelves, so maybe there is something to investigate

Thanks!
Yes and we're very grateful to Whitesea for taking the time and keeping it real!el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 12:56 pm Is this the place that Whitesea studios tested?
Actually, for others who didn't see it yet

Thanks! Was just about to go digging. I seem to remember it looked good, and quite liked the possibility of booking in really small time chunks. Will watch the video againmixanalogcloud wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 1:05 pmThanks!

This is a wonderful idea and I hope it does very well. Great to have access to such hardware.
(In passing, the owner of Whitesea Studios seems to get some criticism/abuse from a few people here, although I find his reviews to be helpful, honest and informative).
Out of curiosity, what pieces of hardware are you thinking of maybe getting next (if any) mixanalogcloud?

I've been wanting to use this for when my project or a sample pack is done to run it thru the Telefunken for some extra character. I also would really love and would have probably used it yesterday by now if you guys added an effects like a Lexicon/Eventide reverb or tape delay space echo. Or it could be even a guitar pedal like the Big Sky. Just some thoughts because I know reverb is still one of the harder more cpu intensive things to emulate so being able to outsource that analog would be huge.

We are making public Elysia's Museq as soon as guys from Elysia say they are satisfied with the GUI and make sure we didn't mess with the tone by automating it. They are in the middle of a busy transition period, so it may take a few weeks. In the pipeline, not necessarily in order:dark water wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 1:13 pm This is a wonderful idea and I hope it does very well. Great to have access to such hardware.

- mid/side + wet/dry matrices for all compressors and some EQs (pultecs for example)
- our very own tube saturator, think blackbox hg2 or culture vulture
- Studer A8xx tape machine
- EMT 140 plate reverb
- AKG BX20 spring reverb
- 'Passive Aggressive’ Gyratec XXIV
- Bettermaker Mastering Compressor
Always looking for more stuff to put online.

Very interesting concept...
your specs for the 670 are impressive.
And this is just pure candy.. )))
