I like it when Midi fx can host VSTi's
Tempted to buy. Is this the lowest price?

Dunno on price. Have seen it sold in KVR used.
Host VSTi does work - can save space in the DAW. Don't usually use it as...
I tend to end up w/two instances - 1 playing the chords - the other a melody sender. Find the arps and chord mods somewhat inflexible.
Not seeking a theory teaching tool. Overall prefer Instachord for the composition functionality.

Great to see that Midi Lab can now run in a DAW as a plugin.
This should help sales.

Code FN42 released a new (to me anyway) MIDI toy called Transition. Very interesting method of programming a note matrix sequencer.

Too many DAWs and plug-ins

The site is new and still needs a few things, see my blog. And a big update for CPA.
100 percent midi, no audio processing in CPA. The trade off was the focus on midi innovations.
Complex nonetheless. You can do a lot with it.
Like route to your favorite synths. It's transformation features seem unlimited overall.
Not totally free - save disabled.
I hope someone reviews it too.
BTW do not confuse 'complex' with 'difficult'. If it was not easy to use, there would be no point in it. It's only a matter getting familiar with it.
To add a little more fun to that I've just added a download for installing 2 program files, having 64 midi sample each.

The ChordwarePA looks like it can do a lot with Midi.
I suppose it does midi effects?
Does it have a built in midi sequencer?

To mangle, transform, or alter in any way how midi plays. Assuming you mean this broad definition of midi effects, then yes, it's mostly about that.
It does it on both levels (given the controls you are using): stored changes, and timer count changes that drives the midi, or determines when and how notes play. A different running count to be manipulated for each simultaneous midi source.
The play buttons can be selected to sequence, automatically or just by clicking them. Count manipulations will effect all content buttons clicked.
Thanks for your question.
