Does anyone have any idea if the midi out will ever happen on the Rack?
The Players for me wold be near useless with no midi out.

A few of the Players are on sale.
Chordbank now $25
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... chordbank/

Delta MIDI Computer now $59. But it seems that with 200 patches it will be very capable.

Any Player recommendations?

Mhh, after all the midi tools i demoed and used i bought just very few (and mainly just use Chtulhu as third party midi tool sometimes...but its a bit buggy) and Logic´s intern are still my favorite. Much better GUI and workflow as most others for me.
Especially the arp in Logic is so easy and fast to work with and so far one of the best for live performing as well. Otherwise i prefer iOS apps as midi tools.
Sometimes life is easy ;)

Even at $50 for the Reason Intro I may not get it as I add two or three more Player modules I am up to $150 and more. Architect for $140 seems like a better deal as it offers a lot more. I wish Colin would disclose the presets so I can make my decision final. So yea I was initially excited about the Reason intro sale but have lost interest. In any case I can get iPad midi apps for usually under $15 each.

Check out my studio. The bottom screen is multi-touch and so is the iPad. I use the iPad with midi controller apps. Now thinking about getting the 12.9” iPad pro. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7760&p=6718002#p6718002

I am more interested in chord progression and midi fx apps.
I wonder which iPad midi tools you have or like.

The good thing with iOS apps are that most offer midi out (i like f.e. ThumbJam to use as midi input). Since i only use my iPhone and no iPad anymore i lost a few good ones but i especially wait for Beepstreet Drumbo (i think it will get another name) which is a wonderful modular beast and can be used as FX and has midi out as well.
BramBos has some nice iOS midi apps and even one where you can create your own with.
But like i said...the best for me are still just Logic‘s intern midi FX tools since i also can modulate the automation parameters with one click and the GUI are the best for me. I might buy the next generation of iPads since the new macbooks are just too expensive for my taste. I still much prefer mac for sample libraries and Logic as my main DAW to put all together but for everything else i could already switch back to iOS (i did iOS only things for some years). So i hope still for Logic iOS version one day.
I don‘t need overcomplex things like Numerology which also has a terrible GUI and workflow for me and i can do similar things with combining 2-3 simpler midi FX and just save it as single patch.
Also anyway KVR is not good for anything iOS related and the Audiobus forum is still the best place to look at (also because a lot developers are there very active).
F.e. some info about the BramBos tool:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/3293 ... ns-out-now
Oh and i forgot that i really love using The Orchestra Complete to get the midi out there for further use. I also think about to buy Elysion (i could crossgrade) because of that.

I like! Has midi out?

I like both complete all encompassing midi plugins but lately tending a bit more towards simpler ones and chaining them like you.

I was looking for a good ios app forum. Thanks for the audiob.us link. This forum is only about Audiobus compatible apps?

I the BramBos tool similar to Chameleon?
https://hi.computer/chameleon/
Edit: I got it, the BramBos tool is for iOS and it is comprehensive.

Elysion? Wow sounds great!

I also like some of Spitfire and Sonokinetic.
Edit: HomeGrown has some interesting instruments

Very reasonably priced. Check the group buy.

Edit: Would you get the iPad Pro 12.9"
I found used ones for $400.
I'm tempted and give my Air to my niece.

This also seems to run fine on even an iPad Air 1 (which is much much slower than the new generations)

Yes, ThumbJam has midi out...even MPE. You also can actually perform 4 (or more?) different scales at the same time with each on their own channel and a lot things more (i think also 4 arps at the same time if you like). Like i said. Nearly all iOS apps offer some kind of midi out.
Something i miss in most of my AU´s :)
The Audiobus forum started years ago for Audiobus of course this but it transformed into a general place for everything about iOS apps. Often not even related to Audiobus itself.
Also i think it is the place where the most developers hang out and often answer your questions as well. I do not post there anymore since some time but i still have a look there often if i need to know some news about iOS or see what new apps might coming soon.
Not sure about the iPad Pro since i do not use any iPad yet and my last was the 11" one (before i used iPad Air 1 for some years).
Indeed i like that even all iOS apps still runs on one single core (there seems still no proper multi-core support for real-time audio apps within iOS), they mostly seems very efficient and in most cases the GUI´s are miles ahead my plug-ins.
I cannot wait for Beepstreet´s Drumbo (but it will have finally another name i think).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xJ6VX1 ... =emb_title
There is an almost 100 page thread and it is even not released yet but i also will use this as midi tool and FX and not only as the modular synth/drum beast it is:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/2586 ... drambo/p97
Oh and Elysion might be my plug-in of the year because i just like the GUI and engine (and of course that it records the midi and let you drop and drag it to your sequencer) and i already own The Orchestra Complete and then i´m a real sucker for sci-fi and space stuff of any kind :borg:

Riffer 2 just released. Welcome some comments from users, as this is one of the few MIDI generators I don't own. Apparently a free upgrade. There is a demo but it is limited to chromatic scale, which kind of neuters the whole point of the plug-in.
Too many DAWs and plug-ins

Riffer is great, use it all the time. Did not know there was an update out. Brief look at new features and seems a genuinei mprovement. Anyone tried the automatiin yet? What does it cover? I am away from studio for a while so cant check. But really for me Riffer is one of my essential tools
