I wonder if it's possible to disable the sequencer so the sounds can be mapped and played across the keyboard either manually or triggered from outside the library.
You can replace all the Scripts with Empty…, which will get rid of the existing interface, but won't make it easy to select individual sounds (which probably IS easy—the existing snaps do still select different layers, but they all play at once polyphonically, often quite lovely), but I think the easiest thing to do is simply copy all the samples from individual Groups (found and selected as a list [see the 2nd grab] for editing from the button circled in the 1st screen grab below)…

…then paste and save them into a new empty instrument, where you can play them with any other scripts you want, or just as is, with any Kontakt FX, etc. Or paste them into some other Kontakt instrument and use whatever scripts are already there. This can get complex, but In Session, bless 'em, make it super easy to select, and copy the Riff Gen samples…as you can see in the 2nd grab:

In Session and PluginGuru are two companies that provide excellent videos on how to use Kontakt, esp. how to leverage the content of Kontakt libraries you already own. Search 'em on YouTube. I particularly like this one:

EDIT: Next thing to try is pasting different samples from other libraries into Riff Gen Groups:)

Thanks King David!

Here's a really cool FREE Kontakt 'Engine"—iow, a nicely designed empty Instrument you can paste samples into and have a bunch of typical Kontakt Library controls and other options already set up, ready to work on your pasted-in samples:

And here's how (tho when pasting in samples from other libraries I don't mess with editing them in the Wave Editor; they usually sound fine as is):

thanks David, will revisit Photosynthesis

Is it recommended to open K5 libs with K5 rather than K6?

Using increase/decrease velocity buttons in RG:
Last 11 steps are not affected. Need to find out why.
Edit: just tried on modified snp and all but last step responded.
probably user error

I haven't heard that; best to ask at the NI Kontakt forum, I'd say. I've seen no reason yet to ever open K5 again.

thanks
just used scaler to detect RG riff for chord suggestions
not sure how useful it is for that yet

Still trying to wrap my head around it. I know it’s an incredibly powerful ... tool? Modular synth? DAW? All of the above?

Ok, probably a dumb question, but here goes anyways:

Is Audio Damage Axon considered something similar to a Euclidean sequencer?

Doesn't look like it to me.

David,

Great info.
Thanks

The last releases of hornet and hy made me wonder if there are any circle sequencers where I have multiple circles, can select steps randomly, have variable number of steps per bar and use them as vst. Only serious solution I found until now is soundhelix. But this had to be set up by xml-files and can only be used by virtual midi connections.

Trackbout releases free Ripchord for creating and remixing MIDI chord progressions

Thanks for that. :)

Patterning is certainly circular—and wonderful!—but not nec. Euclidean, as I understand it. Can no doubt be set up to be, but Euclidean has to do with even spacing of beats, while in Patterning they can be placed anywhere, more like what the question was asking about, I'd guess.

Here's some ios apps that incorporate specifically Euclidean features:
