I’m looking for a free step seq vst which can get up to a minimal of 16 steps. Would also like to add my own wav files into it. I’m not looking for a complex looking plugin tbh, just with the basic fuetures like pitch knobs etc.

Is there any good free step seq for this? If not, paid is an option, but it has to be cheap.

I recently bought HY-MPS2, there's a free version:

I'm having a blast with the paid version. Cannot compare with anything else though, so there may be alternatives.

It's just a sequencer though, it doesn't have any "wav files", all it does is send MIDI. It's up to you to route that to a synth/sampler.

There is the Wok one which is free but only 32bit.(maybe now as bundled donationware)

Then there is bstep which I guess is sort of based on the Beatstep. Note there is a Magware version of that you can get with Computer Music. Then the paid version offers a bit more.

I'm not aware of any where you add your own .wav files - these are MIDI sequencers.
