Nice track V0RT3X, very musical to me :-)

I just discovered the automation thing today. All I wanted was to reset an LFO in a preset. In Ableton, click “configure” then tap the button. Doesn’t work. Not showing up in the list of parameters either. Strange.

To reset an LFO, connect a macro output to the reset button, then automate that.

Otherwise, super happy with everything else.

https://www.kvraudio.com/news/synth-pre ... ount-42869 anyone going to get these presets? I am just worried they are also unmusical? I guess I better start listening to the demos and all.

Musicalness begins within the soul and is released to fingers. Some presets are not

Post

Presets are worth $3.95 per soul surveillance

More byome + other unfiltered Audio madness.

Other things : Reaktor6, Quadrant, Permut8, Ableton Automations etc

All sounds are Synthesized apart from the 909 samples. If you hear anything else, well that's probably because I mangled the synthesizers into something completely else.. :tu:

Synthesizer = Bazille
909 for drums

mixed on headphones.. your listening mileage may vary

Some Glitchmachines Quadrant loops fed into various Byome+other things

original track was timestretched in Ableton. Reverb is a Byome send.

Ableton Glue with "Make it loud" preset used on master out.

:hihi:
No offense, but I think you could have just as well used SpecOps or whatever else for that - and it's not even possible to distinguish which part of that noise is created by Byome.

B.t.w.: right after yours this one automatically started to play - at first I thought that it was still part of yours (the Soundcloud tab was in the background) and was really surprised because it suddenly sounded so eerie, beautyful, musical.

I don't see the problem with people choosing to make their sounds with whatever they feel like using. What's that Emerson quote? "Its the not the Destination, it's the journey"? If someone enjoys using a certain plug to make a sound, why shouldn't they?

Post

I don't see any problem with that either - who does?

PieBerger wrote: Wed Oct 17, 2018 3:04 pm Well this has escalated hasn't it... If people don't think that the presets are very "musical", why don't they write an e-mail to PA support and feedback back to them with some constructive criticisms instead of getting all riled up here.
Let's just say a certain someone who is fond of all caps and the piano...

Am I entitled to express my opinion about the presets here in this thread? Certainly.
Am I entitled to discuss the usefulness of presets here in this thread? Certainly.
Am I obliged to write a support e-mail if I dislike something about a product I am interested in? Certainly not.
Yes you are quite entitled to say your piece in this here forum and no you are not obligated to e-mail support, but the fact you said doing so takes time and effort adds weight to my original point. Are UA more likely to respond to the relatively lazy, often brazen criticism on a forum or a well thought out and implemented, some might say musical, e-mail explaining why you haven't bought it due to it's shortcomings?
Always Read the Manual!
