I stepped back when i saw that both on kvr marketplace and at your own site there was this order sections where it demanded phonenumber and adress.
Since this product isn't something i must have i react badly to give up those things to people and businesses that don't have a need for those things.
I use Paypal and they have my data.
Creditcard banks have a persons data.
I give you my name and mailadress. That's all communication needed to get files and send/recieve information regarding the product.
Call on the phone or send a letter thru the post is utterly useless in these days. So to me it can only mean one thing. Salesmen. Salesmen selling my info to other salesmen which in turn sells the info to other salesmen who...

I'm pretty sure this developer Tale doesn't know about this. (But now he does).
Developers usually use companys to handle the e-commerce. They are third part in this transaction. It's these companys that has to be stopped gathering info that isn't needed.
Have neither of you read the articles about personal information being big business. What we buy, what we do, where we are, when we sleep, what we like, what we dislike and sofort.
If we don't try to stop these things now?

Sorry to hear this. We have made the choice to not use iLok or internet challenge response and create License files that work without internet and even work when FastSpring is bankrupt or something. This means there is no technical protection against misusage of license files and it is just us trusting our customers. We have used this system for 3 years now and no customer misused this trust. That said we need something more than an email address when a License is published on the Internet to be able to contact the customer about it. FastSpring is one of the few US companies that comply with the European GDPR rules. They will not risk selling your address info but I am sure I can't convince you ;-)

We understand your point of view and maybe we can create an internet challenge response with a License that is extended automatically in the future to enable email address only licensing.

Ok. I'm going to not respond in any other way than to say you made a plugin that seems good and affordable.
Please keep going with demos and info for those that haven't decided yet. :tu:
