2 video examples of slicing a sample to create new pattern

Besides the one that is sliced, two other different samples from the Memory Collection Pack 08 are used. Here everything is done manually in Caustic 3 but the same can be done with many other software and apps. The slices could also be prepared in a stand-alone audio editor and then imported in a drum sampler.

Note that not all the original sample has been sliced, I extracted 6 short slices from it and only 4 are used in the new pattern.

Of course there are many apps (desktop and mobile) that automatically slice a sample, here I am using VirSyn ReSlice. Results are wilder because slicers can really mangle the samples too. ReSlice, with its fine arpeggiator is very good at this.
