I am very close to getting MB-7.
So for now exploring possible ideas.

Wondering if can put MashTactic at some of the bands
http://www.quikquak.com/Prod_MashTactic.html
Also thinking of using Tantra in some bands.

What are some other plugins used in MB-7.
What any odd or weird ways people use MB-7

I should add that I do ambient and experimental music.

You really should demo it using those plugins. Using a plugin on one band often does not sound like I imagined it would...

me too - I am very impressed with how easy it is to make a sound far more complex and interesting using that combination. The main improvement I am thinking of at the moment for MB-7 is ducking for each band - built in like for Late Replies

This would actually sound like a multiband compressor... Have you tried the built-in ducker effect? Or are you thinking about using an external side chain to duck the signal?

i have not found the inbuilt ducker in MB-7 - though I have looked. Must try harder :)

still not the same as Late Replies tho - no sidechaining but I can use one of my vst's in there so no big deal

loving Late Replies and MB-7 tho - will get Patchwork when/if it goes on sale in the next few months
(or maybe I can't wait :) )

Maybe you can just load Late Replies into the MB-7 Mixer if you like its ducking function. It will get the side chain signal thru the MB-7 Mixer.

Perhaps F-REX https://internetmusicsoft.com/frex/index.html
might work in place of Mashtactic. I could have bought F-Rex
for $19 in September of this year and I passed it up. Do you
believe that? Perhaps I was hoping the Mashtactic would go
on sale?

Time for a FR. How about integrating the capabilities of Mashtactic
or F-Rex into MB-7. Not sure if this would bring additional sales
but it might!

Well we cannot implement every single plug-in out there inside ours :-). That's why it is an open system and you can load your favorite third party plug-ins!

Can you automate shifting of the MB-7 bands? Either by internal controls or for example side chain them to an LFO or DAW automation?

Edit: Checked it out in my DAW and you can control the bands as well as solo & mute them by automation!

Yes, all MB-7 Mixer parameters are indeed available for automation or MIDI control. And you can also map hosted plug-ins parameters so that they benefit from the same features, as shown in this video:

I trusted that the $99 was the lowest MB7 will be this year.
It was not!
see https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/bl ... mb-7-mixer
sign in a see the lower price. I may then have considered to also get
Late Replies.

Are the seven free fx in the
Blue Cat's Freeware Plug-ins Pack II [Bundle]
are they included in the MB7 package?

Sorry my PC is in the process of being upgraded .
But really looking forward to try it in the new PC.

Hope someday they will offer MB7 owners a 50% off
on the Late Replies.
