Destructor: crafting one's own cabinet profiles?

Greetings-
I know this is a big topic, but I had a few questions that might be easily answered:
1. Aside from the tutorial about capturing reference curves in FreqAnalyst Multi for use in Destructor, there's not much info on this topic is there?
2. If one is using the comb filter to add "cabinet resonance," is there any rule-of-thumb about doing it first or last (or whenever) in the process?
3. Is there any way of looking at a reference curve and determining how best to set the frequency and percentage of the comb filter? Is the stated resonance of a speaker (eg Celestion V30 = 75hz) of any value?
4. Again, with the "pink" filter parameters, is it best to make their placement first or last?
Please consider a standalone version of the Destructor EQ, although I know I'm mostly there with your Triple EQ. Not many out there that do +-40dB!
...and hats off to Destructor.
All the best,
Charles

Thank you for your message and sorry for the late reply. Please find below some answers and comments.
There is indeed not much about it right now, we need to write some more about it . But I think the basic idea is to check out the existing presets and learn from the shapes of these cabinets how it affects the sound and start from there.cturner wrote: 1. It really depends on the type of sound and shape you want to represent. In most cases you will probably end with the comb filter to add subtle resonances to the EQ shape. But for more radical shapes, you can also start with a comb filter and add additional filters on top of it: because the comb filter affects the entire spectrum, radical settings can completely change the sound.2. If one is using the comb filter to add "cabinet resonance," is there any rule-of-thumb about doing it first or last (or whenever) in the process?
The resonance of the speaker is usually not the one you want to match with the comb filter. It's more about the size of the cabinet box or the room. When looking at a reference curve, you will want to check if you can match comb shapes that usually appear on top of the response (usually more visible at higher frequencies). But since the actual response of a speaker is usually very complex, matching with the eyes pretty difficult (you would need multiple comb filters for an exact match). So you will probably want to close your eyes and move the comb filter around and listen to it. Just stop moving when you like the sound!3. Probably first, as the horizontal position determines the frequencies for the BASS/MID/TREBLE "easy" controls.4. Again, with the "pink" filter parameters, is it best to make their placement first or last?
It is already available as a built-in plug-in in PatchWork, Late Replies and Axiom, but there might indeed be more to come in the future! Please consider a standalone version of the Destructor EQ, although I know I'm mostly there with your Triple EQ. Not many out there that do +-40dB!

cturner,
In case you didn't see this thread, admiralbumblebee posted a great tutorial that explains in depth the various steps he used to create a handful of presets in Axiom.
The section on comb filters and the pre and post-emphasis have been helpful for me to understand exactly what Axiom/Destructor is doing under the hood. It's not exactly a "here's how to model your own 4x12 cabinet" but it might lead you to a better understanding of the depth of the "cabinet" section.
