Be sure to know that some would consider it a bit old in the tooth and prefer the ones from Plugin Alliance or other.

I understand, but I don't have/use any PA plugins nor do I intend to. I prefer Waves stuff.

You must be the Last of the Mohicans. If they would do away with WUP I'd be all over Waves. Now I only get the special bundles.

Thanks! Demoing them at the moment. Instant sonic character! Especially the EQ and E/G channels for me. The Comp did not impress me as much at the first go. I would prefer NI Solid Bus Comp over it. Just a taste thing. But the deal for the SSL 4000 collection is quite irresistible. Maybe one more push by someone will take me over the edge.

FWIW.. . Just to add. For any Arturia collection users. There are also a whole bunch of soundset banks on that page that are freebies. So far, there is an Ambient Soundscapes (mostly Matrix 12) and an Ariel Proksa (Buchla) presets that sound amazing.

If it helps, at some point I had waves, the PA ones, and the SSL ones. They all have different characteristics and they all work fine, but I decided to keep the waves ones. I sold all others. In the PA case I actually bought them again after some time just to make sure (so much praise about them) and sold them once again. Just personal taste. Now I have softube console 1 and love it... and still I often go back to the waves console...

I agree. I have never done WUP for the Waves stuff I own. I was on V9 for quite some time after V10 release, then got a bargain upgrade price to V10 for Gold+RenMax, which included 1 year WUP. So, the best way is to upgrade during sales.
