mgw38 wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2019 8:44 am I know plenty of people who do professional work with ancient Pro Tools versions and never update. Never change a working setup, I guess. This might also be one of the reasons why Avid is trying to force people into the subscription.
Wow...this totally made my night. Thanks for confirming this. :tu: I was thinking...PT11/12 actually never gave me any grief for what I was doing other than just getting the right video format rendered for syncing audio to. So using an expired version should last quite some time. The good thing is that I will be able to open everything I ever created. Furthermore, the most stable PT I've experienced was PT 2018. I just got on board with PT in 2017 after several years with Live and Digital Performer.

Anyway, I'm looking at picking up at least one more update renewal...maybe two, which gives me more time and higher probability of finding a few more at a discount in the next two years. Yea, now thinking about it, I think I'll get two. I'm sure someone is going to stock up on these and decide later to get their money back by selling them.

Yep...the stress suddenly lifted. Thanks for this. Re: Nuendo. I was looking at that years ago and while I feel Cubase is probably more of a functional DAW for my purpose, I do like that capabilities of Nuendo. I think it's a bit of an over-kill for my needs but I will probably have at it and make a comparison. I just know that I need either Cub or Nue for use with RX Connect. By the way, anyone have any experience using Melodyne and Vocalign integration with either Cub or Nue?
...and the electron responded, "what wall?"

Absolutely. At that price I‘m tempted to buy it a second time.

Looking to pick up the Bitwig update plan from Uncle E.

Does anyone know how long you can keep the update before registering it? Like buy now and register / activate in 6 months or more?

Also as I haven't done this before I assume you get a serial number, simply keep that and then add it into your account later?

The main reason I switched from Cubase to Studio One was the tight integration Studio One provides with Melodyne. At that time, if you wanted to edit a different section (even just one bar over), you had to close Melodyne, move to the correct section in Cubase, and then re-open Melodyne to do the next edits. You can imagine how tedious that got over the length of a song, day-in-day-out. Using Melodyne in Studio One is like using a built-in function, even better than Cubase's own Variaudio IME.

While I am not 100% sure if it works because not all Sample Logic deals can use gift cards, I would get a $50 gift certificate from Audio Plugin Deals for $30 (if you have enough reward dollars) and then it becomes an even better deal at $59.

If you have enough AudioPluginDeal rewards money, you can buy a SampleLogic $50 gift card for $30 so it brings Xosphere down to $60 :)

To add to this deal, if you add Xosphere 2 to your cart and go to check out, you will have a second offer unadvertised deal for the original Xosphere 1 for $70 at 77% off ($230 off) if you purchase it at the same time as Xosphere 2.

I like the sound of that, but the AudioPluginDeals page for the card also says "Gift certificates may also not be used in combination with other promos." Although I'm very happy to be wrong on this

Cubase 10 will receive ARA2 integration so it should work just as well soon.

At least I already own this library, I won't need to add to my spending decisions. Real no-brainer at this price. I really like this library.

On my behalf, always, always when someone tries to sell me a "cinematic" sample library, I set the safety off my veapon, so to speak.
Too often those libraries are collection of misscellaneous unsold-left commotions, wrapped with some tasteless UI. :phones:

Another added discount...If you add your serial number for the original xosphere in the second discount box during check out it brings the price down to $29 dollars

Xosphere and Xosphere 2 are two of my favorite Kontakt libraries for ambient and cinematic.
