Many unique instruments were used to create CHROMAPADS.
This picture was taken during one of the recording sessions: I'm using a Neumann M149 to capture samples of a Whirly Tube for the acoustic pads module. :phones:

This acoustic module also features samples of singing glasses, flutes, whistling, melodicas, harmonica and more...
Layering such organic sounds with more typical synth pads is fun and intuitive with the new library :) :tu:

CHROMAPADS is also available in a Light Edition! The light edition compiles 12 pad voices from all CHROMAPADS category modules into a single Kontakt instrument. All effects, custom reverbs and functions from the full library are included. :love: :tu:

To get you started, a few multis are included, with a couple of tempo-synced arpeggios that can be a great place to start a new track :)

The 12 voices include nice acoustic pads (singing glass, whirly tube), nostalgic sounds (OB6 keys, polyphonic synth strings), voices with lots of texture (Water pad, Gregorian Choir) or movement (D50 or FM sounds). (see full list here)

Free 'granular' update available soon! :tu:
For the last few days, I’ve been exploring the granular functions of Kontakt, and I started to create a new module for Chromapads based on these cool functions.

The update will be available soon, and it will be free for users of the full edition. It will feature one new module (‘granular pads’) and about 8 new Kontakt multis, including some stunning organic pads, nice evolving glitchy leads, and sweet granular ambient soundscapes or drones.
You can already expect some pretty unique and creative stuff :)
