Sweet, this definitely looks fun, i always liked the sound of the Emu-II and the earlier samplers. They had a warmth and grit to them that definitely gave off a interesting character to a track.
Color scheme is kind of a bland 80s color, but i think that's the point.
Looks pretty straight forward to me.knowix wrote:Definitely looks like a step backwards, visually, from their most recent plugins. But maybe it's just the colour scheme?

This is awesome! I love vintage sampler emulations like the Cyclone from Sonic Charge
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Not so much interested in the sampler, but it looks like they released a free reverb with the release of the sampler too: http://tal-software.com/products/tal-reverb-4 Cool thing!

That rising noise in the demo version is a wee bit annoying.
I managed to get a half decent looking skin after a few seconds.
Some of the presets sound good but kind of sterile. I wonder if I'm the type of person that would be happier with a bunch of vintage sampler instruments for Kontakt instead. I'm sure I'd have great intentions to make my own instruments with this TAL offering but probably never get around to it.
We can already get vintage type sampler distortion with one of the D16 Plugins. The name of the plugin (like all D16 plugins) escapes me at the moment.
I didn't think I'd purchase TALs first two VSTi instruments but I did eventually.
I don't know about this one. Just thinking out loud. Waiting to read other peoples comments.

I have been looking for a basic sampler for ages now.
But the question is: ok, it's simple but is it lightweight??? (i.e. Ableton Simpler / disco DSP Highlife).
Can I pop 30 instances of this baby without having to worry about my processor?
Edit: Nevermind. I misunderstood this sampler's concept.
Anyway, this is amazingly cool. I'm starting to become a full-time TAL fan.

I have been trying for the last five minutes to figure out how to start from scratch....load my own samples.... how to delete/remove samples from a patch.
Has anyone figured this out yet?
thanks

It was mainly the sickly brown that turned me off, but I now know that can be changed.Kriminal wrote:Looks good to me. Will def be trying this later.Mushy Mushy wrote:Just what I need, a basic sampler.
