Anyone know of a good Electra-Piano sample library?

I've been looking around for a Hohner ElectraPiano library (like John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin used in songs like "No Quarter" -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Led_Z ... uarter.ogg and "Stairway to Heaven."

Anyone know of any good ones? Ideally I'd like a Kontakt library, but I also have SampleTank and some other stuff (I'd mention HALion player, but I'm moving to Vista64 and no so confident about the current HALion player and the product's future with Steinberg as it's been years since they put out a new version of HALion).

There exists a NI Electric Piano 1.5 that works perfectly with Kontakt as you may guess and there is a Loung Lizard 3 - a physicial model of all possible eps - rhodes, wurlies and so on. I have both, and to tell the truth I use only the last one. And you can totally tweak any sound in it or even create your one - its like a synth. And there is Scarbee product on the same matter, but have never used it. Though Scrabee products I own are very good (black bass is the best bass I've played) and it is sample based. Check the LL3 demo - it,s about 6 mb or smth.

E-pian from Acoustic Samples is a really nice and realistic sampled Rhodes for K2/K3. And when it comes to modelled electric pianos, don't forget the truly excellent Mr Ray 73 II from www.genuinesoundware.com!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Oh well, the lost art of reading ...
Sorry, no, haven't heard of a sampled ElectraPiano.
Haven't tried, but don't you think a lot of that special vibe actually is due to outboard FX (vibrato, phaser, delay), so you could get close with another electric piano as starting point ?

Hmm....so I suppose it bears repeating: I have a lot of Rhodes and Wurley libraries, I'm looking for a Electra-Piano library. I know that years ago the person behind HollowSun had given one away, but the link is not available anymore.

susiwong, I'm sure you have a point, but it would be great to get a sample of the real thing to start with.

No luck with Hollow Sun, I'm afraid.
I downloaded them all back then, there was only an RMI ElectraPiano and Hohner Clavinet / Pianet.
According to this page http://www.geocities.com/jpjkeys/hohnerelectra.html Jones used a VCS3 to process the piano, sounds credible.

Apparently the Hohner ElectraPiano is included in this beast:-

- along with 49 other instruments; but I suspect (like me) you're not looking for another ROMpler!

Yes, you're right. I knew of that one. It looks nice, but it's beyond my budget (around $300). Still, thanks for the suggestion.

Scarbee has some very good:

Scarbee is at or near the top for sampled EPs. You can buy the collection with a halion player. I have both the halion player version and the Kontakt version.

I think the Honer is the Edgy Electric Piano.

Mr. Scarbee was forced to change the names a couple of years ago.

Sounds really good, but I am pretty sure that is a Wurli. In fact, most of the demos have Wurlitzer references: Wurlicious, Wonderful Wurl, Wurlwind, Wurlatin, Wurlitramp...and sound very much like a Wurlitzer electric piano to my ears.

We had a Wurlitzer electric piano when I was a kid. My my mom was a music teacher and taught piano, organ and guitar and I played drums in addition to piano and organ, so we had a lot of instruments around the house. I love the sound of the Wurli, but I already have a good deal of Wurli samples as well as Rhodes samples, but I'd still like to add the Electra-Piano to my collection.

My search continues.

The Scarbee "Sticky Electric Piano" might be a closer match, as it was originally sampled from the Hohner Pianet N. Give the demos a listen, see what you think!
