loopport doesn't necessarily fit your description of FTP, but has plans to release a way to connect to all there samples and loops threw both a traditional FTP server (in the finder) and has a VST that will allow to access the same library right in your DAW. check it out, currently in beta (use code loopport14) Loopport

I purchased their complete drum kit bundle, and while the drum samples are great, the naming leaves a lot to be desired.

What are the velocities and what are the round robins, for eg, for the snares ? In the end i sorted them according to RMS and went ahead with that (split into 2 sets of equal round robin samples), but i sure would like to know how the company envisioned its use.
