I've been writing a few songs and hoping to make a whole album of synthpop songs in the spirit of those classic 80s bands (pet shop boys, Erasure, a-Ha etc). At the moment I'm using the AlterEgo voice synthesizer to sketch out the melody but need a vocalist to record the final version.
Anyone want to volunteer (if you have professional home recording facilities) or any tips on where to find one? I don't really have a budget but would gladly share any royalties when it's finished or pay a little bit for your time.
I found a good singer on Freelancer.com but he charges £55 per track which is not something I can easily afford - and that's the cheapest. Some total amateurs think they can charge £300

*bump*
I've joined some pop producer groups on the net but it's mostly 20 year olds from LA who have never heard of Pet Shop Boys. I really need someone from my generation who knows what I'm talking about and doesn't just want to be the next big thing on TikTok or whatever they use.....

My singing brings to mind the phrases "crimes against humanity" and "cruel and unusual punishment."
